All walkers regardless of age should be competent, stable walkers and able to navigate uneven ground in potentially muddy conditions however, we will try our best to accommodate each persons individual needs by adapting some things where we can. This means that those less able may wish to walk an alpaca in the courtyard as opposed to on the field. Each booking is made as an individual package which means that your are the only guests enjoying the experience at your timed booking. This is so that we can give you our undivided attention and meet the needs of any people with particular needs.
No, all children must be accompanied by a paying adult. Under no circumstances can children be left unaccompanied. Under 12s must share an alpaca with an adult. Over 12s can walk their own alpaca but an adult must also walk and supervise their child. This is for us to adhere to our insurance conditions.
We have no age limit but children must be accommpnied by a paying adult. We also ask that your children are well supervised, calm and prepared to listen as animals can react if they feel scared or threatened and this is then a safety risk for everybody. We reserve the right to cancel an experience where unruly behaviour is affecting the welfare of the animals, staff or guests and no refund will be offered.
You can change your date as long as you give seven days notice and it is for a genuine reason, such as family illness. Cancellations cannot be made with less than seven days notice. Payment/gift voucher will be lost. We do not offer refunds. If you change your date more than once a £5 admin charge will be applied. As the experience is weather dependent then we reserve the right to cancel your booking and rearrange an alternative date with you. We also reserve the right to cancel if our animals are showing signs of illness or injury.
Our animals welfare is our priority,we therefore reserve the right to cancel if any of our animals are showing signs of illness or injury without notice. We also reserve the right to amend your booking if we are unable to accommodate you due to the weather.
Please be aware that animals are unpredictable and whilst we do everything to ensure the safety of our guests we cannot be held responsible for an animal biting or kicking as this is outside of our control. Due to the nature of the experience then guests are up close to the animals and therefore all visits are made at your own risk.
Wellies or walking boots are a must! Even in the summer the ground can be wet and muddy. Trainers are not suitable in winter - you will get very wet and uncomfortable! If you wear very unsuitable shoes such as sandals or flip flops, we reserve the right to cancel your walk and no refund will be due.
The ground is not suitable for pushchairs as it's often wet and muddy in places. Therefore we do not allow pushchairs.
Likewise the ground is also not suitable for wheelchair users as it's often wet and muddy and is always bumpy. The walk takes place through fields and there aren’t any pathways for the entire walk, so sadly we cannot accommodate wheelchair users at this time. However we can accommodate wheelchairs in our courtyard.
No, we are open by appointment for animal experiences only. Please do not just turn up, we will not be able to accommodate you
Yes it's essential to book in advance, we don't take walk-ins. We advertise our availability daily but recommend booking in as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.
This is our family home and guests are not permitted to walk around the grounds and gardens unaccompanied. Please ensure you keep a close eye on your children as this is a working farm. Thank you.
