We are a family who decided to embark on a new adventure and so bought the farm in 2019 with the aim of offering affordable animal interaction experiences suitable for everybody, without the vast crowds and commercial feeling. We are a simple farm and strive to offer a personal experience to each and every guest we receive. Since being here we have refurbished our holiday cottages, acquired all sorts of animals, most of which are rescues and embraced life as new farmers. On site we have our main farmhouse in which Myself Emma and husband James resides, Our Son Ioan lives in another cottage here, My Mam Jen lives in other cottage. In addition to this we have The Old Smokehouse, The Lodge, Shepherds Hut and 2 Emporer Bell Tents available for guests. We are in an ideal location being situated just outside of Narberth in beautiful Pembrokeshire, with our nearest beach in Saundersfoot being just a 15 minute drive away. We really do have the best of both rural and seaside.
In 2022 after acquiring lots of rescue animals we have become a not for profit animal sanctuary. Our aim is to use our animals to give something back to the community in the way of animal therapy to help those with disabilities ,mental health, loneliness etc.
In 2023 we were filmed for Sarah Beenys New Country Lives which aired in 2023. It follows our journey of setting up our business here.
In May 2023 we opened our cafe, The Wonky Donkey. The name reflects some the wonky animals we have on the farm and to be honest it's easier to remember than the actual farm name!
We are now offering our cafe and animals to all kind of groups, from care homes, mental health groups, schools, OAPs, disabled etc.
We offer work placements via colleges and can also offer accredited qualifications to those people who aren't so keen on formal college venues etc.
We can't believe how things have grown and we're excited about the future.
Emma is animal crazy and would take in every rescue available of she could. She is friendly and bubbly and loves chatting with people, especially excited children.
James is our friendly, chatty all rounder who does everything from mucking out to farm maintenance.
Ioan always had a dream of owning a farm and so is fulfilling his aspiration of offering something to others. Ioan has Cerebral Palsy so understands the needs of others and the impact a small farm like this can offer.
